No Fuss Breakfasts

Do you find breakfast is the hardest meal to make good choices on? Even when we know it's the most important meal of the day. I have some no-fuss healthy breakfast ideas to help you along.

Whether it's due to being time poor in the morning, rushing kids to school, an early start to your working day or you are a shift worker. Below are some no-fuss recipes that can be prepared the night before or only take 10 - 12 minutes to prepare in the morning. Now the cooler weather is coming to the southern hemisphere, I've included a couple of Paleo porridge recipes to warm you up. (Further breakfast recipes can be found HERE).

Three of these healthy breakfasts below use chia seeds and for good reason. Did you know chia is the highest plant-based source of Omega 3. Very high in protein and fibre, also loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. By starting your day with a high protein breakfast that includes chia seeds and nuts, you prevent the crash that can come later in the day from eating high carb breakfasts, making you tired, unproductive and sleepy.

You can read more on the health benefits of chia seeds in this blog post where I've listed many of the proven benefits, click here to read. (You will be wanting to add them to all your meals.)

I prefer to make my chia puddings with lots of liquid to make a more soft soupy consistency, adjust to your preferred texture. Chia will keep you fuller for longer, remember to drink plenty of fluids, as chia soaks up approximately 9 - 12 times itself in liquid.
